The line that divides black and white

I've come to the relization that I still live in a society where RACE does matter.

I'm upset at the recent article that was posted in the Milwaukee Community Journal on May 7, 2008. The Article is on Blacks smoking marijuana in Wisconsin and being locked up.
Has Wisconsin only been locking up blacks for marijuana possesion?
Yes, their is a racial disparity in WI and in the criminal justice system.

Discrimination is alive and in full affect here in WI. Milwaukee ranks in as one of the largest segregated cities in the Nation. That's not enough to say that now we are dealing with more blacks being incarcerated for drug possesions.

Nationally, black men are 12 times more likely to be imprisoned for drugs than whites in a recent study by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Multiply that figure by four if you're referincing Wisconsin. The black community is being targeted, while the white suburban people are running around free with misdeameanors, and tickets.
We are in need of some serious help, here in Wisconsin! It is time for an intervention and something to be done. I am tired of hearing about another black person being put in jail for drug possesion. Let's not ignore the problem, we need to fight the justice system and get drugs off the street before the drugs rule the street.
